Humana Health Insurance Wins Medicare Approval

According to the article “Humana Wins Medicare Approval for 2011 Plans” found on BusinessFirst.com, Humana INC has received federal approval for its 2011 Medicare Advantage as well as its Prescription Drug Plan offerings. This is based upon information from the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Specific details about their plans have not been released yet, but some information is known including the following:
- Prescription drug plans will be offered throughout the US and Puerto Rico
- Plans will include a nationwide PDP co-branded with Wal-Mart Stores Inc
- HMO Plans will be offered in 26 states and Puerto Rico
- Local PPO Plans will be offered in 39 states and Puerto Rico
- Non-network PFFS plans will be available in 18 counties in 2 states
